Who should we be friends with?

to report Missionary thought and culture base, Human life has different areas, as the name suggests, a believer should show his faith in each of them. In personal, social, political, cultural, artistic, religious, moral, scientific, economic and physical fields. The manifestation of faith in these areas is nothing but piety. It means that a person should focus on God’s opinion and His satisfaction in all these dimensions of life. Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said about the duty of Shiites: “Konwa Lena Zina Wala Takunwa Lena Shinaa” Be our adornment and cause of pride, not cause of our shame. In this regard, Hazrat Ali (a.s.) says: “Ayuni Bura, wajtihad wa sadad”, try to have piety and piety. Try and persevere in this way. What you have in front of you is an excerpt from the words of the late Ayatollah Misbah Yazdi; They complained in 2007. We read the fifty-seventh part of it together:

According to Mehr’s narrative, human association with other human beings is completely natural and has an innate motivation. Humans are created in such a way that they are happy to see their own kind. If someone is cut off from others for a while, it will be a great torture for him.

For this reason, prison is a punishment that cuts off human contact with fellow human beings, and in its extreme form, the prisoner is not even allowed to see other human beings. If someone is affected by this condition, he will understand what a great blessing it is to see other human beings. This kind of creation has wisdom; Because many human perfections will be found in the shadow of social life and in relation with others. In the beginning, it is communication with parents and in the next stage with teachers, friends and other people, which he uses for this world and the hereafter. If a person wants to live alone, he will face difficulties and it is not known how long he can continue living and he will not reach spiritual and human perfection.

Someone may say that we pray in solitude. But if we were alone, how would we realize that there is worship and how it should be done? God created man in such a way that his evolution is related to others; It means that he has made every human being a blessing for other human beings, and he has naturally put this motivation in human beings to socialize with others. Of course, these tendencies are different in different people and the characteristics of human beings are different in terms of levels. People’s cognitive abilities differ, as well as their feelings and emotions and desires of dignity; But its principle exists in all human beings. According to the so-called psychologists, some are extroverts and are very interested in being social and communicating with others, and some are introverts and want to be alone and think more. There are more or less these differences; But no human being hates socializing with others, and if someone hates socializing, it is because of temporary things; For example, he has seen an enmity or evil from the other side.

But the important issue is how much each person does socializing consciously. In the previous meetings, it was also emphasized that the value of human activity, which leads to human evolution, depends on the amount of consciousness with which he does the work, and if he engages in something without consciousness, it does not have much effect on human evolution. This rule is also valid where it opposes the right. Sometimes opposition is out of stubbornness and sometimes out of ignorance. The second category can be ignored more; But the first category is very effective in the fall of man because the element of consciousness has an effect on it.

In the discussion of socializing, the discussion is similar. The principle of socializing with others is a natural thing and in a sense instinctive; But sometimes socializing happens out of choice and without thinking, and sometimes a person sits and thinks about who to socialize with, and why? Any amount of consciousness involved in this stage is more effective in human development, both in positive and negative aspects. That the Holy Prophet says: “Yukhalattu al-Nassa ba’ilm”; It may be referring to the fact that his choice regarding companionship, friend and wife is not the result of an incident; Rather, it is based on knowledge. A believer chooses the right based on the correct criteria.

Peaceful separation

The same is true when a believer wants to separate from someone. Of course, this point should not be forgotten that in Islamic ethics and customs, dissociation from a pious friend is condemned, and if it is in the form of coercion, it is much more reprehensible, and it has been said that no believer has the right to coerce another believer for more than three days. . It is mentioned in the narration that if a believer was friends with someone for a year, that person will find the status of a relative and should not easily cut off his friendship.

However, if he realizes that friendship with someone is not useful for him and wants to leave the friendship, the believer will not do so according to a series of incidental factors, for example, simply because he is upset by a word and such factors. If he wants to separate from someone, it is based on a calculation and measurement that this separation is desirable to God or not. On the other hand, the quality of this matter is peaceful. The Qur’an says about divorcing a wife: “And if you divorce the women, then they will reach their maturity, so hold them in a well-known way.” 2:… part well, not out of enmity and hostility; These are not the dignity of a believer. When a believer realizes that he has to separate from someone, he tries to make arrangements for a peaceful separation by thinking and consulting: وَ يوفاريقُمْ بسلمٍ.

Speaking for profit

The first step is socializing, talking and greeting. Many people talk like this without thinking and just by chance; That is, it is not rational and considered. But sometimes a person associates with someone in order to use his knowledge and politeness in the way of performing divine duties. These two associations are very different. If we want to classify words in terms of value, it starts from below zero to infinity.

Human speech, such as greetings, asking questions, opening the conversation, etc., may have a value below zero or may be so sublime that its value cannot be calculated. When a wise person sees that speaking can be so different in terms of value, he does not open his tongue to say whatever comes to his mouth; Rather, he seeks to make the best use of the opportunity to talk. But those who are in the school of Islam and the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them; They are not educated, neither their talking nor their asking matters. For example, sometimes he inquires about the secrets of other people’s lives; Secrets that are not allowed to be revealed, and with this question he commits a sin; Especially sometimes, he seeks to gain weaknesses from others in order to flaunt them at the right time!

But the believer enters into all this with account. When he wants to open a conversation with someone, he thinks about where to start so that it benefits both himself and the other person, and possibly the community and Ummah. When a person speaks for the interests of the Islamic society and really intends to take a step to correct corruption in the society or take a step to solve the problem of a brother in faith, its value is so much that it cannot be expressed. Although it starts by saying a few sentences, the angels are unable to write its reward. When you can do these things with language, why not do it? “Yatakalammu liighnam”: a believer speaks in order to gain profit from it.

Question to understand

Sometimes the conversation that a person raises is a question. Is it good to ask or not? What things should be asked? In general, it should be said: Man asks about things he does not know; But why does he want to know? As a rule, the question should be to understand something that is useful for yourself and others. But if he seeks to understand something that is of no use to him and causes the waste of time and busy the minds of others and possibly causes sin, why should this question be raised? All of this is under a general rule that is mentioned in the descriptions of believers in the Qur’an: “And those who are afflicted” a believer does not work in vain; Rather, it seeks real benefit. The benefit is sometimes a mundane benefit, like people looking to see which bank offers more facilities with less interest. Or where do they give more profit to the capital? Or where the land has become expensive and where it has become cheap, and such things. Of course, as long as it is halal, there is nothing wrong with a person using the blessings of the world in a halal way. But if he uses it to get usury, it is abuse, not real use. Even in the classroom, where asking questions is to understand things from the teacher, this questioning can have disadvantages that outweigh its benefits. The devil is more or less present everywhere and leaves his mark.

Some people have a fixed devil who is their friend and companion: “Whoever lives for the mention of the Most Merciful is against him, Satan is his partner.” Those who neglect the remembrance of God and deliberately forget the remembrance of God, God will make them a devil friend who is always with them. it is them Even those who don’t have Satan as their companion are not immune from sometimes encountering Satan. “Indeed, those who fear God are from the devil’s sect; “Remember, so they also see.” 5. At the beginning of the lesson, when the teacher is teaching, a question may come to mind. Here sometimes he really doesn’t know something and wants to find the answer. In this case, he can ask the professor privately after the lesson.

This is one way to get the answer. It is said in traditions that knowledge is like a hidden treasure; If you want to use this treasure, you must use its key, and the key is to ask questions. 6. Therefore, it is good to ask questions, but if the question is appropriate, at the right time, with the right motivation, and is primarily for God; In the sense that you can get closer to God with it.

But sometimes non-divine motives are involved. For example, in some cases, even though he can ask the teacher the question privately, he asks it in class in order to let his friends know that this question came to my mind, but it did not come to your mind and I understand it better than you! At first, this is the temptation of the devil, and the believer is exposed to the temptation of the devil, but immediately he realizes that it is the devil who tempts him:; “…remember, then they also see.”

Now, if there is no opportunity and he has to ask the teacher a question during the lesson, after the teacher’s answer, a weak-minded person sometimes repeats the question in a different way, with the intention of implicitly pointing out that my accuracy was more than the teacher’s accuracy and that the answer should be answered. gave a clearer Sometimes Satan’s temptations are so strong that people want to ask questions in such a way as to embarrass the professor and let others know that this professor cannot answer and that perhaps I know better than him! Here is a question and a problem that is raised with the same language, but these motivations make the value different from the earth to the sky. Some people ask riddle-like questions to make the other party helpless. It has been used for this category of questions; That is, the questions that are asked to bother and bother. Not only do these questions have no reward, but they are also sinful because they hurt a believer and tarnish his reputation. So, in such cases, even though the questions are scientific and the form of speech is the same, the motivations can be so different.

For this reason, the Holy Prophet says: “Wa Yasalo Leifham”. It should be seen what is the purpose of this question. Hazrat does not rely much on the type of question of the believer, because certainly the believer does not raise a question that contains sin; Rather, it relies on the motivation of the question. In general, we must be very careful about our motivations. When we want to do something, before we do it, we reflect and see what makes us want to do it. If we see that our motivation is God-pleasing, we should thank God for this motivation and do the work and ask God for success in doing the work correctly.

But if we see that it is out of ego and doing this work is not to obey the divine command, but because we want to do it, then we should take control of our speech and not speak easily. Many elders took great care of the language so that it would not be used in vain so as not to cause damage. And in the next degree, let’s see what is our motivation for this work? It is motivation that gives positive or negative value to human behavior. Sometimes a motive leads a person to the throne and sometimes a motive makes a person fall from the carpet to the depths of hell.
